DEGREES RECOGNISED BY ECBA FOR THE PURPOSES OF THE EUROPEAN PROFESSIONAL BIOLOGIST TITLE

 

The degree titles listed below are recognised by ECBA for the purposes of the European Professional Biologist title. The degree must be in a biological subject, with at least 50% of the total time spent on biology. Sat least 3 years (full-time or equivalent) must have been spent studying for the degree at a university or similar body. Degrees titles are listed for (a) first degrees, and (b) higher degrees. For first degrees, the figure in parentheses [ ] is the minimum number of years of study required. For higher degrees, the figure is the minimum number of additional years of study required.

 

 

 

Notes

1. Candidates who only have an Austrian Bachelors degree are not eligible to apply for the European Professional Biologist title. They must also have an additional Mag rer nat or PhD degree.

2. Candidates who only have a Danish Bachelors degree are not eligible to apply for the European Professional Biologist title. They must also have an additional Cand Scient degree.

3. Candidates who only have a Norwegian Cand Mag degree are not eligible to apply for the European Professional Biologist title. They must also have an additional Cand Scient or Cand Real degree.
