Final compromise over animal experimentation |

 14.04.2010 Representatives of the European Commission, the European Parliament and the European Council reached a compromise on a directive covering the protection of animals used for scientific purposes (86/609/EEC) on 7 April. |
 09.04.2010 The ECBA has placed her new site online. Thanks to the hard work of our webmaster the ECBA has a new and updated website which makes the ECBA ready for the future. The content has been updated and the members section is also renewed. More news will follow. |

 25.03.2010 Professor Dame Nancy Rothwell, President, welcomed around 300 guests to the Society of Biology's launch event. An event that truly celebrated the diversity of the biosciences, and emphasised the value of working together as a single voice.

14.05.2010 Sweden will build a SciLifeLab. It was founded through a joint effort by the three Stockholm universities, Royal Institute of Technology, Karolinska Institutet and Stockholm University and its main activities will be housed in newly built premises in the vicinity of Karolinska Institutet and Karolinska University Hospital in Solna.
